Firms send mixed messages on remote working | Ireland | The Sunday Times – The Times

Some employers who say they are enthusiastic about hiring digital nomads are engaging in “corporate whitewashing”, according to remote-working consultants who claim many new roles are still tied to specific locations. While some companies have announced that they are moving permanently to remote working, or making positions independent of location, jobs listed on many websites are still linked to a specific office.

Figures from Indeed, the job-recruitment website, show that 91 per cent of Irish job postings that mentioned remote work in August listed a specific city location — 59 per cent were linked to Dublin.
