Get every Microsoft Office app for just £82 this Prime Day – Tech Advisor

Microsoft Office apps remain indispensable tools for millions of people, but they’re not the most affordable. Unless you want to commit to a Microsoft 365 subscription, your only alternative is to pay well over £100/$100 upfront for a standalone version.

That might be hard to justify, but this Prime Day deal makes life much easier. Amazon is offering the latest Office 2021 Home & Student for just £81.99 in the UK, a saving of £38 on the RRP. You’ll need to be a Prime member to take advantage, but Amazon offers a 30-day free trial to all new customers. It costs £7.99 per month thereafter, but you can cancel before the trial period ends without paying a penny.

Interestingly, this deal is specifically for a physical box with the activation code inside. That means you’ll have to wait for it to arrive, but with free next-day delivery on Prime that shouldn’t be an issue. Once you have the code, just open any Office app, sign in to your Microsoft account and enter it. It works on all recent versions of Windows or macOS, but is only valid on one device, so choose carefully.

You’ll then be able to access everything an Office Home & Student bundle provides. That includes a full version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote, alongside Outlook, Skype and 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage. You can even check everything you write with the Microsoft Editor tool.

Office Home & Student was released late last year, but Microsoft doesn’t tend to update these standalone versions for at least two years. Even when it does, the features on offer here are more than enough for most people.

If you’re based in the US, a more modest deal is available on the digital download version. It’s down to $124.99 with a $25 discount, but offers all the same features.
