Caitriona Gallagher is 30 years old and lives with her boyfriend in north London. Or, at least, Gallagher lived in London for most of last year — for a sizeable chunk of 2022 she switched life in the British capital for Mexico City. “The whole thing felt super easy,” she says. “I just booked an Airbnb and settled in, really. It’s more exciting — when you finish work, you can go and get tacos, hang out in the park or go to museums.”
